Rooted is a collective dedicated to fostering spaces of response to alienation and separation through fostering environments of connection to self, other, and our world through somatic practices, creative expression, and critical consciousness raising. Grounded in depth approaches and psychologies, decolonial values and radical love, we engage in the work of contextualizing and metabolizing experience, celebrating vitality, nourishing imagination, and co-creating futures rooted in joy, justice, and embodied awareness.
Together, we nurture ecologies of care where each person contributes to the nourishment and resilience of the whole.
Rooted exists as a homeplace for nurturing transformative relationships, and as a watering hole for inspiring and nurturing new modes of being and relating. We are committed to the slow, meaningful work of tending to our collective journey coming out of systems that have shaped experience and relationship within Western culture.
Rooted invites encounters that offer new possibilities for connection—between ourselves, each other, and the world through group study opportunities and a collective of bodies in the practice of liberation and the creation of a care ecology (the Village). We trust in the power of bodily wisdom, curiosity, and tending to grief, joy, and relationship to foster spaces of collaborative survival and creative potential.
